Donations Needed for Habitat for Humanity ReStore
County Waste & Recycling encourages area residents and businesses to donate useful items to the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Newburgh.
The ReStore Mission
Our Habitat ReStore raises funds to help build affordable homes in the Greater Newburgh area. In addition to helping build homes, they keep usable materials out of the waste stream and place into home building, remodeling, and creative arts projects.

They cannot accept these items:
- Anything that doesn’t work or is dirty, stained, chipped, or broken
- Computer, fax and copy equipment
- Carpet or rugs
- Hollow-core or bi-fold doors
- Used/broken tiles
- Upholstered items (sofas, loveseats, recliners etc…)
- Clothing, linens, bedding and drapes
- Mattresses and box springs
- Baby items, toys, playground equipment
- Blinds or window treatments of any kind
- Opened paint, stain, thinners or hazardous material of any kind
- Shower doors, hot tubs, non-white fixtures
- Unframed mirror or glass
- Appliances over 10 years old
- Used dishwashers, hot water heaters, and faucets
- TVs (except true flat screen)
